Terms of Service
Last Updated: September 30, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By tapping Continue on the first screen of the FlareCare app, creating an account, or otherwise using FlareCare (the app and flarecare.io), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use FlareCare. These Terms apply to everyone who uses FlareCare.
2. Account Terms
- You must be 16 years or older to use this service
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- You may not use the service for any illegal purposes
- Your login may only be used by one person. Sharing is not permitted
3. Your Health Information and AI
FlareCare asks for your explicit consent before it saves your health information. When you create your account, you check a box agreeing that we can store what you share, use it to run and improve the app, and analyze it with AI providers. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, who processes it and how to delete it. You can turn AI processing off in Settings; features that depend on AI won't work while it's off.
4. Subscriptions
Some features need a paid subscription.
- Subscriptions bought in the app are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. They renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them in your store account settings.
- A free trial, if offered, becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then
- Subscriptions bought on flarecare.io are billed through Stripe. To cancel one, email terms@flarecare.io. It stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds for app store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies
5. FlareShare Community
FlareShare is a shared space. You also agree to the community guidelines shown when you first enter it. When you post:
- You're responsible for what you share. Other members see it under your handle
- Don't post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or spam, and don't share anyone else's private information
- Don't present medical advice as fact. What works for one person may not work for another
- You keep ownership of your posts and give FlareCare permission to host and show them in the app
- You can report posts and block members in the app. We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules
6. User Responsibilities
When using FlareCare, you agree to:
- Provide accurate health information
- Not share personal medical information of others without consent
- Use the app as intended for personal health tracking
- Not attempt to manipulate or abuse app features
- Not use the app as a substitute for professional medical advice
- Keep your account credentials secure
7. Medical Disclaimer
FlareCare is a health tracking tool and does not provide medical advice. The content provided through our service is for informational purposes only. AI features, including Ember, can be wrong; treat what they say as information, not medical advice. Always consult with qualified healthcare providers regarding medical conditions and treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information provided through FlareCare.
8. Intellectual Property
The service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by FlareCare and are protected by:
- International copyright laws
- Trademark laws
- Other intellectual property rights
9. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.
10. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall FlareCare, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
